Whos going to the Streets?

i dont think he has a band. does he? I've seen him do live appearances and he has no band. some other rapper guy and some tables, thats about it.
ok, so i was wrong. he DID have a whole band. and they were very awesome.

dizzee rascal, probably more talented. Mike Skinner was definitely more fun though. I haven't seen the 930Club get that wild in quite a while (i dont go that much though)

Mike pointing at the balcony saying "you guys look bored" over and over was very amusing too.

Can they play here again tonight? I'd go!
Yep, the crowd didn't really seem to connect with Dizzee Rascal so I think he got a bit frustrated and just went through the motions (his set was really short). I was impressed though…
Skinner knows how to work a crowd…he seems to have got way more brash than he was before (I guess that comes with the success).
I wasn't really excited about Dizzee Rascal before I got there, having listened to his album a couple of times and understanding maybe a total of four words. But hearing him freestyle was great; he is definitely a force to be reckoned with on the mic. Hopefully he'll get more acclaim after this tour, it's deserved.

Skinner, et al., were awesome, and really got us pumped up. It was hilarious watching the underage girls in front of us shriek and claw in an attempt to get a backstage pass (they didn't get one). Next time they should just write a note on a Wal-Mart receipt, apparently.
This was one of the most fun shows I've been to in a long time. Even beat out Franz Ferdinand just because the crowd was 10x more into it.

That's it buster  …..don't ever associate the late great Ian Dury with that noise pollution shite known as rap.
I dunno, your modern urban poet, probably has more in common with the likes if Ian Dury and John Cooper Clarke than Nellie and DMX.
