Merriweather seating

Its a mystery to me , because i got tickets to Tori Amos/Ben Folds for row FF in left center on ticketmaster.com and those are damn freakin good seats.
I am waiting patiently to see where these WASTE tickets are going to be, perhaps they have a good bit of the good pavilion seats. hopefully.
That sounds like a show that a guy would go to only if he really loved his girlfriend very much, and she promised him a months worth of blow jobs.

"a months worth of blow jobs"

Suppose he only gets one blow job per month, that's not a good deal to me. If he gets a daily blow job, she's obviously into them so going to give them anyway….still not going to suffer through Tori and Ben. If she's not really into giving them but offer's one a day for a month then we could talk. On the other hand…who the hell sticks around with a lass who doesn't give head??
Sorry, that joke was probably only one that I would find funny.

I was dragged by an ex-girlfriend to a Tori Amos show a number of years ago.

My wife likes Ben Folds. Actually, I liked his first album, and saw him in Chapel Hill about 7 years ago. Just haven't really liked anything he did since then. Though I'd rather see/listen to him over Tori Amos any day. She's the worst.

And yes, I did see the Truckers, but if you read the thread, I was not one of the people raving about their live show.

I am not a fan of Tori either, but I catch Ben whenever he's in town. But now that I think of it, a blowjob AT the Tori Amos concert might make it worthwhile.

well have fun with Ben at Merriweather, I am sure you will have fun with your couple thousand other people
A BJ AT a tori concert? Impossible. All of the women there would be too hot for Tori to pay a man any mind. Probably have better luck at an Indigo Girls show.

Did anybody catch the Ben Folds/Robbie Fulks show at the 9:30 a few years ago? Just wondering how Robbie Fulks went over with the Ben Folds crowd? Perhaps he omittted his country stuff and only did his pop stuff?

I think both of them go back together to when they were both struggling songwriters in Nashville…
I was at that show (never miss a Ben show - except this coming one, Tori Amos is too much to endure). Anyway, I enjoyed Robbie Fulks - his stuff was pretty "country", reminded me of Dwight Yoakam.

Not sure how much time Ben has spent in Nashville, though. He's from Chapel Hill.
The group's story is, in many ways, the story of its de facto leader and namesake, Ben Folds. The son of a carpenter, Folds was born in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Upon graduating high school in the mid-80s, the young songwriter drifted from place to place in hopes of discovering a good scene to sow his brainchild. Throughout the decade when hair bands ruled the airwaves Folds spent frustrating stints in Miami, Chapel Hill, New York and Europe before landing in Nashville in the early 90s. To spite the fact that Nashville was a songwriter's mecca, or because of it, Folds found the city's approach to songwriting frustrating and exclusive. While producers and managers wanted obvious hits, Folds wanted, instead, to follow his own muse, a notoriously eccentric one at that.

When Folds finally drifted back to Chapel Hill in 1994 he formed a piano-based trio with bassist Robert Sledge and drummer Darren Jessee and within weeks the band cut an indie single that attracted the attention of Caroline. Their 1995 self-titled debut sold strong enough to warrant the kind of major label bidding war that young bands fantasize about. Eventually signing with Sony, the group released Whatever and Ever Amen and continued the strenuous touring schedule that the band had become known for. Releasing the singles "Battle of Who Could Care Less" and "Brick" into a climate awash with sound-alike guitar bands, Ben Folds Five and their witty, off-beat piano-based music was a welcome difference and the group became critical and commercial darlings.

Its safe to think that ANY songwriter in the Southeast US is going to chill in Nashville from time to time, isnt it? like west coasr actors going to LA.
consider me corrected.
so anyone have any idea where these seats located at Merriweather, section L LOGE, row AAA, seats 301-302, are?

just got them for neil young and are not on the seat chart as far as i can tell… unless they are in the orchestra pit and i'll be looking up neil's nose. or maybe it a special section behind the venue.

Is this some kind of cruel joke… thinking we'd all be jealous. Yeah they are in the pit!

thanks for info… i was a bit confused because the tickets were not the most expensive pavallion seats for neil. i didn't expect to land in the pit at that price range.

Wow, I see the top of the stage. Hopefully some cool lighting begins there as it shimmers down on the performers I won't be able to see.

Those pit seats seem pretty sweet, though. Anyone want to trade?

To someone who's been there, is the slope that bad (i.e. non-apparent) or is it the lawn chairs that are throwing me off?
