Black Rebel Motorcycle Club - Roll Call!

I printed up a few gold versions of this poster, those will be on sale along with the red versions.

The proceeds of the gold version will go to help the victims of the hurricanes. (Red Cross)
I'm going! I tell you, though…I really don't know what to make of the new CD. I like the music but it's not quite what I'd choose to listen to. I used to describe BRMC to my friends as the best Britpop band ever to come out of California. Now they're the latest incarnation of Dylan. Not a bad thing but not what I'm jonesing for.

So - we'll see. I'm sure they'll put on a great show and it they won't disappoint. Anyone know anything about the opener?
So basically you're saying their new sound is avast improvement on their old sound?

As long as there isn't a hurricane coming through town in the next 10 hours, I'll be there.

He was with the shoegazer band Ride.

You can listen to some of his solo stuff here
NO HURRICANES!

I've missed the last 2 times BRMC has been down here. Both have been due to the weather. so yeah, hopefully no major snow storms or hurricanes…
That Hurricane Isabel show was fantastic for the fifty of us that attended.

There is, and it's called HURRICANE Evan! ;) I couldn't help it….I think the Lemonheads aren't getting much of a draw today…

I was so close to going to that show, but my girlfriend begged me not to go. She just wanted to me to be safe. Still pissed I missed the show.
I've only heard the new disc a few times, but I love it. Once I got past the "this isn't what BRMC is supposed to sound like" hurdle, I thought it sounded great. I'm there tonight.
Mark Gardener was the lead of Ride, and he did a lot more for music than just "shoegaze." I'm going to this show only to see him.

My wife thought I was crazy for going to that show. It was kinda surreal driving from Silver Spring to the club straight down Georgia with the storm going on. The streets were dark but by no means deserted. And no police presence whatsoever. Fun fun fun.
This will be the best show of the year.
I will definitely be there. That hurricane show was indeed special. Something tells me tonight might not be quite as intimate.
The FAQ page says it's close to selling out. I was hoping for a lighter crowd. Oh well.

Anyword on set times? The front page still lists last night's info.

According to people on this board, a sold out show means the band sucks…..Sorry, that's their rule not mine.
Thanks, cernoch. I see the front page is updated now (although it still says Tuesday the 27th).

Damn - Does that mean I'm no longer an elitist prick if I go to the show?
