Medications tonight at The Black Cat. It's a shame Channels cancelled. I got the new cd yesterday. So far I like it a lot. Any thoughts on Victory At Sea or Mass Movement of the Moth?

Possibly The Dance Party/Middle Distance Runner at Velvet tomorrow.

I have to work a little Sunday and Monday. Not pleased about that.

Would like to see the Medications but I was just at the Black Cat last night at the BYOP concert and I'm afraid they may start charging me rent over there. In retrospect I should've saved my time/energy for the Medications–I'm sure a much better use of my time. They're a great band.

Although I am on the fence for the Stooges film at the BC on Sunday.
dinner w/ neighbors tonight
5 yr old birthday party sat
4 yr old birthday party sun
mondays too far away to think about

I'm so rock n'roll

I prefer White Oak Canyon and after all the rain I'd say the waterfalls will be in good shape

Why is it best that you do the programming on your own? Do you like to program naked or something? :D
Friday night - United Way softball game (if it's not rained out, like every other game we've had in the past few weeks, including our make-up games)

Saturday - College homecoming, and preparing for Halloween

Sunday - Yardwork and planning for the wife's b-day

I also rock pretty hard.
Yeah, I was leaning toward White Oak Canyon even before the rain. Hopefull the leaves have started to change in abundance.

Nah, the programming stuff is too specific to the project I'm working on for anyone to come in and be expected to help out, even if they were proficient in SAS. One woman in my office who is familiar with the project could probably do it for me in about a third of the time it will take me, but I guess that wouldn't help me in terms of learning how to do it myself.

Today - nursing my dog, who had surgery yesterday and is in a miserable mood.

Saturday - go look at houses.

Sunday - Army Ten Miler. Considering I hurt my back right after Christmas last year and didn't run at all in 2006 until three weeks ago and have only run twice since then, I'm predicting an absolutely miserable time. It will be good to get out and race, but I pray I don't get passed by any of the guys with artificial legs. That would be really demoralizing.

Monday - sit around and groan about my sore muscles. Hopefully I'll rally and make it to the Dead Meadow show.

If you do the Rag in the A.M., I may see you. I've got the official go-ahead from the wife to do a mountain run and that one is by far my favorite. Thing is, I've got to do the whole thing and be home by noon, so will have to leave by 6:30 to pull that off.
Fri - Ray's The Classics for dinner (the continued descent in gluttony), late night hockey on DirecTV

Sat - make beef stock, yardwork, and Middle Distance Runner at the Velvet Lounge

Sun - Dim Sum brunch, hockey on DirecTV

yup…food, music, and hockey. That's pretty much all I do.

Isn't Juana Molina at IOTA on Sunday…she's quite good.
I don't know, but I just got orchestra seats for Brian Wilson @ the Warner so I'm happy about that!
Going to Philly tomorrow to see The Secret Machines play an "in the round" show.
I've been meaning to catch Middle Distance Runner for a while now, so I might try to hit the Velvet Lounge tomorrow. Any idea when the various bands will be performing at the Velvet Lounge, Kosmo?
e.joseph is suppose to be on between 9 and 9:30pm… and IMHO is worth getting there early for. I think the rest of the order will be Pawns, TDP, and MDR ending the show. Know the VL reputation things will run late… But, I would get there earlish as it will be packed seeing as MDR has soldout Iota on past weekend gigs there.
I work both Friday & Saturday graveyard shift every week. I'll be cocooning mostly.

BTW, Sorry to hear about your lame dog ggw. How old is he?
She's pretty good (though I think I read on here and in the Post that her live show at Black Cat opening for Jose Gonnzales was a little underwhelming). But no match for the entertaining showmanship and witty wordplay of Robbie Fulks.

I think we may also go see the Science of Sleep. Anybody have any thoughts on that one>
