soda or milk with your cake?

A co-worker is getting married and co-workers are throwing him a party here in our office. I signed up to bring soda.
I asked if I could bring milk instead of soda, because who wants to drink soda with cake? When I asked someone if this was ok, she replied, "Milk, ewwww." When I protested "Who drinks soda with cake?", she replied "But it's ice cream cake."
So tell me, would you rather have soda or milk with your cake? And no, coffee is not an option.

Iced tea would be my first choice, then water, then milk.

We just had a cake party. I didn't drink anything. However, I did have a Coke with my burrito today.

I had a Coke with my burrito for lunch as well. My wife gets mad that I drink soda once in awhile, but fuck it, a guy has to have a few vices, right?

I sometimes like a little milk in my soda.
For a party, I'd say soda.
The milk with cake is best at home for a snack.
I myself usually don't like milk unless it's store bought chocolate or white milk that's been heated. Wouldn't even drink it when I was a toddler. Hated the stuff. My mother use to have to put a raw egg and vanilla with just a little sugar in it to get me to drink it once in awhile.
Don't forget Rhett, some people are lactose intolerate. Don't know how many people you are planning for but maybe you could get a biggy of soda and a quart of milk, or whatever might make a fair distribution.

Soda with cake is a sign of the decline of civilization…
