Hmm… tough one if only because that 'New Wave' tag usually gets placed on straight pop records.
The best New Wave song ever is, Whip It by Devo.
When I think of 'New Wave', I think of Devo or that 'Tainted Love' song. Everyone has heard those two songs at least once.

I wish he would just wipe out everyone in the Middle East and bring the troops home by Xmas. If he killed ALL of the Arabs and Israelis, I might consider voting for him.

He has done some countryish stuff, but I didn't care for it.
I remember he came in and dj'd on my college radio station almost 20 years ago, and said that his favorite American band was the GRateful Dead, for what that's worth.
I think I just hate his singing voice, his look, and his personality. I think I would probably hate whatever he put out, no matter the genre.
