nothing to do with music, because soon all of you watchers of drama through the television lens will have no money for music. titles of songs relating to your pain won't matter anymore. only eating clay and shortening cakes, like they do in haiti, will matter. the club will become a shelter for unwanted indie babies, who use old radiohead lps as pacifiers. all the food will be at dar, but no will know that, because the sound in there is horrible and everyone hates dar. bootlegging and hookers will be our national pastime, just to get through the tears. oh well, at least paris hilton will have a new best friend forever.

and i did not know where to place this, but end of the world threads seemed appropriate. i was reading this article about chris cornell's new album coming out, and not that i really like solo chris, or really chris at all, but the article said he was playing a concert where all the teenage shitheads there were texting like mad robots just to have things like "waz up, stacy?" and the such of 'like totally cool text speak' posted on the digital, stage display the entire time he was playing. plus he allowed people to pick his songs via texts, because he had to "cater to the kids" (his words). is this what the concert experience has come to?

I liked Soundgarden.
Not that that really has anything to do with anything.

this might be dumb, but could legalizing pot help in anyway to solve the financial crisis? you just know that the government could sell it, ala ABC liquor store style, then attach whatever tax they wanted to. ludicrous taxes, taxes that under normal conditions would force senators out of office, but people would pay it on pot; pay through the oxygen masks they'll need in the future, just because it is finally legal. then the government could tax the masks, too.

Well I wouldn't call you dumb but many would. I agree that legal marajuanna is a huge untapped source of revenue for the government…

well, christopher hitchens thinks the u.s. should buy afghanistan's entire
poppy crop. . .that would be one way to pay for the bailout, i suppose.
i've heard a story, which may be apocryphal, that cigarette companies can change their tobacco machines to producing marijuana cigarettes in less than a day. . .and have them out within a month….
