With all of the anglophiles around here, I figured some of you would be interested in this. I don't know if this is a good thing or not.
Pie, anyone? What next? Asda? Morrison's?

I like Tesco's, good food at reasonable prices. Well it is over there. Just watch out for ASDA though, because it's owned by our old friend Walmart.

I have to say I'd prefer Marks & Spencer or Sainsbury's over Tesco.

Marks & Sparks is definately more upscale and pricey, but very good stuff. Their pre-made Indian food is just delicious, and was always a nice treat on the weekend.
Tesco has a nice balance of quality/price though.

IIRC, Tesco has no pre-made sandwiches that don't include mayonnaise.
Sainsbury's has almost no mayonnaise-free sandwiches, but I forgive them because they have delicious and cheap scones with cream and strawberry jam, apple turnovers, etc.
Marks & Spencer is where it's at for no-mayonnaise pre-made sandwiches: the scrumptious Wensleydale cheese and caramelised carrot chutney, the British ham and cheddar, the salmon and soft cheese…
And they have great (albeit expensive) smoothies and juice drinks, like their strawberry-vanilla yogurt smoothie and their pressed apple with mango juice.
Mmm…

I can't believe there's actually a thread on here that is talking about food and Great Britain in the same sentence.
