You know, that kinda distorted 'word' in the box you have to type in to protect against some kind of internet scalper scheme on TicketMaster and other ticket sites…. Now that they no longer always use real words, it can be a hoot.
This morning I got:
unboy
That could be a GREAT word….applicable to so much. :p

Some of those verification words that ticketmaster comes up with would get your ass kicked if you tried to use them in a scrabble game.

In college I lived across from a girl named Hillary Hoar. Her mother's name is Gaye. No joke. She would always state her name with the following postscript : "Hoar. Spelled H-O-A-R."..

I had "molasse", which I assumed to be the singular of "molasses". I was wrong:
molasse
\Mo*lasse"\, n. [F. molasse, prob. fr. mollasse flabby, flimsy, fr. L. mollis soft.] (Geol.) A soft Tertiary sandstone; – applied to a rock occurring in Switzerland.

There is no way that all of those word verification words that TM uses, are actual words…
(Wow, that was saying words a lot.)

I don't even see the whole point of the word verification thing. Does it actually help at all? I thought the original point of this system was to deter scalpers or whatever. What is the actual function, besides to make the process longer?
