"North Side Kings were to play with Danzig last night in Tuba City, Arizona. To make a long story short the whole show was a disaster and a few bands got bumped off. Mr. Danzig (or his managment??) refused to push back the original scheduled time slot so North Side Kings and Rapid Fire would have to play "after" his set. Whatever- we agreeded to play later because we drove 6 hours and didn't feel like going home without playing.

Needless to say, as soon as Danzig was finished, the venue turned on the lights and Danzigs crew and the staging company began to take the stage apart almost instantly. I confronted Mr. Danzig backsatge while he was signing autographs and told him I thought he was an asshole because of his "rockstar" attitude and no consideration twords the FEW other bands that got bumped off tonight. In a fit of rage he turned around and slammed me into the wall yelling "fuck you motherfucker" trying to be a big toughguy in front of his fans. I -in self defence punched him in the face knocking him out as he was attacking me again. He went down, bleeding from his mouth, eyes rolled back, and in shock that he got knocked to the floor so quickly."

I remember reading a great story somewhere (Buddyhead?) about some dudes searching for Danzig's hideout in the California desert. Eventually they found it, only to be disappointed by the fact that Glen was a whiny brat and, apparently, quite short.

danzig seems like the type who would eat a lot of krispy kreme donuts…..and if someone didn't get them for him he whould complain and whine about it on the floor until he got them, kinda like a four year old…

I've got 3 things to say about this:

1 - I have always been a huge Misfits fan. Their records from 77 - 81 are still some of my faves of all time.

2 - Despite being a big fan, Glenn has always seemed like an asshole to me.

3 - That video is hilarious!! But I wish you could see a little more of the action after he hits the ground.

danzig wouldn't do much because he was on the floor and because danzig hasn't made a good song since he has been an EX-MISFIT.

Yeah, he's a shrimp. Kind of a wide shrimp. Use to be a nice guy, at least from my experiences with him. Too bad he's turned into a prick.

I wish someone would have stuck a sock in that one groupie's mouth who kept yelling. It would have been great if the camera angle were on the other side to see Danzig's face as he gets punched…alas, the security guy in the red shirt probably would have blocked the view.

Does anyone remember hearing that rumor that one of the guys from Def Leppard also bloodied Danzig's face? He supposedly stayed in his trailer after the fact, so he didn't get anymore one-armed smack downs.

A incident between rocker Glenn Danzig and the members of Def Leppard made news during the band's Adrenalize tour in 1993. Here's the official story from Joe and Phil as told in an interview with MuchMusic.

Danzig, who was in a hurry because he was carrying a bowl of hot soup, told Julie Campbell, (Vivian's wife) to "Get the f*ck out of the way!"

According to Phil, someone, (not revealed who) kicked Danzig in the ass for the remark and Danzig, along with his hot soup bowl, went crashing to the ground. Some ensuing shouting followed, but the whole incident was over in 30-45 seconds. Some people said there was blood involved, but it was just the color of the spilled soup, that happened to be red.

Joe says that a story appearing in a British rock magazine detailing the entire Danzig affair, did not happen.

i agree with chaz. early misfits is some of the best stuff there is. samhain was pretty good too…of course it all went downhill after that…and apparently has hit rock bottom for our boy glen.

the only thing that could have made this better is if the guy would have screamed "MUTHAAAAAAA!!!!" right as danzig hit the floor.
