does anyone have their album? thoughts? seen them live?
they have a great video for
Black Dollar Bills that's been played 2 weeks in a row on subterranean …
they got a mediocre review from
pitchfork … but it seems like one i'd tend to disagree with …

They've got a few fans on the board. I think Jaguar and Kurosawa B/W like them.

Indeed I do like them. In fact, I'm heading to Chicago next weekend to see them. I've heard that their live shows are a combination of film and intense overwhelming rock. In other words, my type of scene. The album is great as well. (Black Amnesias is an amazing tune.) Sam's vocals bug some people but not me. You should check out the show. (Plus, I've heard good things about the opener Inouk.)

I saw a 5 song EP for $1.99 at Olsson's today. Might be a good introduction for those interested.

Everything Kurosawa just said…except that I'm not going to Chicago but will definitely be at the DC show. I have The Lost Riots and it's very good. Not for all tastes but if you like epic kind of music, I highly recommend them. I'm not as impressed with Sam's whiney voice but the rest of the music more than makes up for it. I have a lot of friends in the UK who have seen them and they all say they put on a very good show.

Just read a good description of them: "apocalyptic post-rock" I definitely wish they had different vocals but still don't mind it that much because the music is so damn good.
