A good read, maybe a bit too much detail if you are not a fan of a lot of the bands, but most of the bands feature pretty entertaining characters.

Our Band… was an enjoyable read. Then again, I liked the bands that were covered. I'm not sure it would be the book for you. The other sounds more your type (contrary).
