Siren Festie part deux

so the hipsters converge again on coney island to see lots of free goodness and get sunburned. kurosawa and I had a great time last year, and are looking to head up again…anyone else thinking about it?

linky
not me as it's my birthday……..

so raise a glass to me why dontcha……………………
Lulu, will you be celebrating with your beloved High Strung?
i'm going to nyc and seeing growing, exceptor, and octis (mick from orthrelm solo) at the tonic that night. was thinking of going to siren, if only to catch burma and blonde redhead.

the crowd and the heat bother me, though. if you guys are going, i'd be more inclined to check it out before the growing show.

it was a great time last year, and I think the bands are a little better this time round. TV on the Radio, Burma, the Constantines, Trail of Dead…

I'm there, and looks like I'm buying you drinks….and this will be different how? :D I may actually be solo – lot of my buds are out of town. Scotty's actually going to France to watch the Tour in person… Marni will be there if she gets over her cold/flu/jetlag.
I will be heading up to NYC this weekend as well. going to see some friends and then checking out the Siren fest. I am pretty excied to see Blonde Redhead again and the Thermals, Death Cab and the Fever. Hipsters are fun to watch too.
Unfortunately I won't be able to make Saturday's Siren Fest. It's my brother's birthday. And Lulu, I thought Friday night was your birthday?
saturday is my birthday……………

but i'm like the queen………………

That's being a bit hard on yourself isn't it? I, for one, have never considered you a pointless figurehead.

Alas, I won't be there either, much to my dismay. While the heat and crowds had me swear last year that I wouldn't come back (despite how fun it was), this year's line-up is stellar. Have a good one, walkie, and welcome back.

thanks mate…we should do something sometime, what?
ok, i just checked the band schedule, and the two bands i really want to see, mission of burma and blonde redhead, are basically playing at the same time. i also will not be able to get there until 4 or 5. i think i'm going to pass, though i may change my mind when i get to the city. i might feel like catching burma. don't really care for trail of dead or death cab.
King and Queen LuLu

;)
god I love NY…

the day was splendid…sun, beer, ROCK, beer, ROCK, more sun etc.

Mission of Burma were the surprise standout for me - hell of a show.

kurosawa, we missed you.

any other reports?
