Bite it, You Scum. GG Allin.
I got a letter from GG Allin once. Talk about scary…
I'd love to read that….
I saw GG on his last tour. Completely hilarious.
My friend and I wrote him a letter back around '86 or so. He replied in less than a week. The letter talked about all the things he wanted to do to my little sister. Among other things, he wanted me to have her take a dump in her panties and mail them to him. That's when it started to concern us that he now had our address. I'll have to see if my friend still has the letter.

(I don't actually have a little sister, btw.)
That's a great story Skeeter. The greatest thing at the GG show was all the kids running from him when he would jump into the crowd. He cornered one poor 15 or 16 year old at the bar and gave him the biggest open mouth kiss. Poor kid was frozen with terror…eyes bugging out of his skull. This was in Richmond VA and a few of the locals were determined to square off with GG. He couldn't fight worth a shit but he sure seemed to enjoy it…

Avril's punk???? huh, who'd thought.
My choice would be: Holiday in Cambodia, Dead Kennedys or Out of Step, Minor Threat (but then I am kinda of a loser since I named my first born after Ian M)

Those first few posts were amusing…blink-182, avril, GC…the title said PUNK not pop.

Oh yeah? And who do you call punk? The Clash? The Ramones? The Stooges? Those guys were just poseurs…not the genuine article like Blink and GC and Avril.
"kill the poor" - Dead Kennedy's… although "Holiday in Cambodia" still rings very true today, just substitute Iraq.
watched SLC Punk last night and while a bit flawd and preachy, it does make a couple good points regarding punk.

In regards to who the first punks were The Ramones vs The Sex Pistols, it dosen't really matter anyway because it's just music.

All "punks" are poseurs in some sense, and punk clothing is really just another uniform people put on…
Radio Birdman "What Gives"
one of my all-time faves.
