What about Liz Phair's new one. I'm loving it.
Or are you pulling our legs?!?
since all the "kwel" kidz are doing it :p
Like I said, I've only heard one song – Blood Brothers – and it's got the same vocal effects as The Strokes. The first couple of times I heard the song, I thought perhaps The Strokes actually made a second album.I think you'll like it.As for the B/sparks comparisons, some same members, entirely different musical genre.B/sparks are much more in the alt/country vein whereas Tyde are much more psych poppy.
I'll track down the Tyde CD and give the whole thing a listen. [/QB]

most disappointing album: grandaddy "sumday"
I'd get your ears checked. Grandaddy turned in the dullest album this side of Nada Surf. Oh and SFA, but I mean shit, they've been off their game for a while.
Hipsters must seem anti-hipster, by definition. Rhett plays the game very well.
Where did Henry Dark go?

You seem to have the complete opposite middle age rock tastes to me. I really like rings around the world, I think it is SFA's best.

not sure about albums yet, but my favorite shows so far, in random order, were:
Mission of Burma
Supersuckers w/ The Forty-Fives & Throw Rag
Television
The Mooney Suzuki
The Soundtrack of Our Lives
Joe Jackson
Drive-By Truckers w/ Immortal Lee County Killers
The Flaming Lips
and, I have to admit, David Lee Roth

I should also add the free show Ricky Skaggs did at Towson Borders to my best show list.
