all my teachers were nuns…actually, i had an algebra teacher who used to slap all the boys asses as she walked down the hall…i guess that could count as "perv'ing"

I've never had any students worth perving over. Then again, they were all way too young for me. Besides, that kind of thing completely turns me off. Teaching and perving don't mix in my book.
BTW, if you know a fair bit of psychology, then you would know that many of the students claiming, or thinking, that a teacher is perving over them has more to do with an imagined or a subconscience ego issue than anything based in reality. Of course, that doesn't negate the fact that there really are some real bastard pervs in some of the classrooms.

sometimes if it is a young teacher around 22 it wouldnt be to difficult, 4-6 yrs isnt to much of an age distance in the "adult world". i always prefered male teachers because they are funnier and easier classes. but my worst teachers have been female. males will naturally stare at a girls breast no matter what the age and thats what most girls willprobally be talkin about in that survey. plus the girls are wearing short skirts and tight shirts so they should expect the stares. guys teenagers all think every chick likes them….so a survey of teenagers isnt reliable in this subject or most others…

I am an elementary school art teacher, and quite honestly have never perved over another student. Another student's mom, maybe, or another teacher in the school maybe, but not a student. That maybe customary in (insert hick state here) but not in my book!

As someone who was both a 24 year old high school substitute teacher and later a computer teacher in elementary schools, I can say that you're really not in a position to perv as an elementary school teacher.
The high schools are a different story. I often had high school girls hitting on me, and several even handed me their phone numbers after class. I was a good boy though; never flirted back and never called any of them.

Hoops coach punished for 'Crybaby Award'

PLEASANTVILLE, N.J. – A basketball coach who gave a 13-year-old player a "Crybaby Award" will be banned from coaching, sent to sensitivity training and ordered to make a public apology.
Schools superintendent Edwin Coyle revealed the punishments Wednesday. Whether the coach loses his job remains to be seen.
James Guillen, 24, a third-year special education teacher at the Pleasantville Middle School, had a trophy made up showing an infant atop a pedestal, with a plaque bearing the inscription of player Terrence Philo Jr. and the words "Crybaby Award.''
Terrence was spelled "Terrance."
After summoning the boy to attend the April 24 season-ending banquet, Guillen gave him the trophy, humiliating him in front of about 25 teammates and parents.
On Tuesday, the nine-member Pleasantville Board of Education voted to fire Guillen, rejecting Coyle's recommendation for lighter sanctions.
But state law mandates that hiring and firing recommendations come from the superintendent, not board members.
As a result, the vote to dismiss Guillen wasn't valid, according to Frank Belluscio, a spokesman for the New Jersey School Boards Association.
"It's not binding. It's not proper procedure," Belluscio said.
Coyle, who said dismissal would be too severe a punishment, said he would ban Guillen from ever coaching in Pleasantville schools and order the sensitivity training and public apology.
In addition, Guillen will be ordered to hold the banquet again and give Philo the trophy other players received. A veteran teacher also will be assigned to mentor Guillen.
Coyle said he would ask the board a second time to authorize a five-day suspension without pay and the forfeiture of a $3,000 pay raise due to Guillen.
The boy's father, Terrence Philo, said he would leave the penalty to school officials.
"I just want what's right. I want my son to have a trophy and certificate like everyone else got. No less, no more," he said.
Guillen, who has yet to speak publicly about the incident, remains on the job as a special education teacher at the school.
