Kris Kristofferson

Ahh I see you're going for announcements of shows that nobody cares about.  That's a good distinction!

I'd love to see this one. If the tickets were about 1/4 the price.

I dunno.. I've really enjoyed the shows I've seen there: Dean Wareham, PIL, El Vez, Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, Flamin' Groovies  and I'm not sure what else.. its not a great venue but it gets the job done and they keep ticket prices at about $25… and if you get up real close its fine.. the problem is if you don't get up close.. its a long room with a low ceiling so if you're in the back I think you're screwed….

For the exact reason you stated, we were screwed. Good to know it's better up front i guess. My guess is the place will be packed for jens.

I draw no distinctions or pass any judgment on merit.. never have.. you never know what somebody may be into.. remember that there are thousands of people who read the Just Announced thread as guests…

But Kris Kristofferson in a room with 200 people is a pretty choice concert if you ask me..certainly better than seeing him at the Warner Theatre with 2000 people…. just wish I could afford it..

Y…you mmmmean, w…we…we're f…f…fammmmous?

that is what Julian said.. he said for every time we post something thousands of people read it…so we're sort of celebrities.. each one of us, if you think about it, probably has fan clubs and groupies…although I'm not sure anybody likes James Ford.

Will Oldham is also on that bill.

good catch! great intel there…

It is not unusual for them to perform on the same bill.. I've noticed… they're just so stylistically different….but you could say they are two sides of the same American music coin…
