SNL hasn't mattered for almost the last 15 years and this is coming from someone who gets just as annoyed as you do by a lot of the music snobbery on here.

While I'll be the first to admit that there are a lot of elitist comments on this board, I'm not entirely sure that there was anything elitist in the comments made about SNL.

Having an opinion on whether something is good or bad does not necessarily dictate an elitist opinion.

Having an opinion that certain people deserve favored treatment or are better then others because they don't/do something, making them superior, now that would be elitist.

For example - SNL blows, or even saying SNL is not as good as it used to be - not an elitist comment.

"You be Betty is not as good or knowledgable fan of SNL as I am because she didn't see SNL in it's glory days of John Belushi, Chevy Chase, Dan Akroyd, Steve Martin, Richard Prior, Eddie Murphy, Martin Short, etc." - now that would be elitist. And I just didn't see that in the SNL thread.

yeah ok as it turns out there really isnt really anything that offensively snobbish in that snl thread, but itd be terrific if people didnt shit all over somebodies thread with their holier-than-thou opinions……i mean its not even about music, its a dumb television show

however, this is an internet forum, and perhaps i should stop being a little bitch with sand in my vagina
