Underwhelming albums of 2007 (so far!)

The new LCD Soundsystem. I can only stand one track, "Someone Great".

What's yours?
Arcade Fire - Neon Bible.
Second. I don't get the fuss.

I second the Voxtrot and Bloc Party.
Third.

It's nowhere near as good as Funeral.

!!! - Myth Takes

I thought Neon Bible was better than funeral.

I'll second the shins and block party though. I like Sound Of Silver alright but the critics have been over-hyping the hell out of it.
I prefer Neon Bible as well.
Fountains of Wayne - Traffic and Weather
I was a little disappointed with Bill Callahan's Woke on a Whaleheart.
Bloc Party - A Weekend In the City

If it wasn't so underwhelming, I might have considered getting tickets to their show at DAR, but this coupled with their history of underwhelming live shows, it's just not worth it to me.
Agreed on Bloc Party and Arcade Fire. I can't get into them at all.
ya'll are crazy about Arcade Fire, what a great album … the Bloc Party disc is crap
Wilco's Sky Blue Sky-though not actually released yet, it was leaked weeks ago. Uncle Tupelo fans take note-Son Volt's new one seems to be a more interesting disc overall. Farrar's experimenting with a fuller sound and most of the time it works.
Not that I was expecting greatness…the Weirdness by the Stooges
I disagree completely.

At first blush the new Bloc Party didn't grab me, but it has gotten better with every listen to the point I think it's brillant.
i'm disappointed in Radiohead's new album

oh yeah, they didnt put one out!!! they only put albums out on leap years now!

Just curious, how many underwhelming live Bloc Party shows have you personally been to?

i really think brilliant is going a bit far!

fun, exciting, energetic, infectous…maybe, but brilliant seems like it would imply some sort of originality and innovative—ness.
