hey nothing wrong with verse chorus verse and a huge ass hook :D
senators part 3
The five starters on opening day were: Ponson, Ainsworth, Dubose, Riley, and Bedard.
Rodrigo didn't start a game until May 20, which was his 13th appearance of the season, and the O's 37th game of the season.
Which means if he had been starting all along, it would have been his 8th start of the season.
Overall, he has 10 less starts than Ponson this year, with three more wins (2 in relief).

Talking about games he "would" have won is useless. I'll refer you to baseball reference's comparison to other players, based on statistics and age:
Rodrigo Lopez is fifth in the league in ERA, and tied for 8th in wins (as many as ANY Yankees starter, and would have more if he hadn't started the year in the bullpen) Two excellent seasons, one sucky season (which he was worn down because of playing too much winter ball).
A bit more than a mediocre third starter in my book.

Rodrigo Lopez is a mediocre number three starter… We can have this argument again like we did in the pre-season if you want to, and I'll be correct again.
Miguel Tejada, Jerry Hairston, Melvin Mora, David Newhan, Rodrigo Lopez, Javy Lopez, BJ Ryan…all infinitely better and more watchable than anybody the Expos can offer. Plus, with Segui, Palmeiro, Cordova, Daal, Groom, and Gibbons all coming off the payroll, the O's are going to be loaded with $$ to restock the team.

Woohoo! We get a team with fatass Tony Batista as the star.
I will remain an O's fan, and only go to Expos games if the opposing team/pitcher is of interest.
That, and it's in Baltimore. No thanks. I'm done rewarding Angelos for his blatant disregard for quality baseball, and will be getting a full ticket plan… as a former O's season ticket holder, this is the best news ever.
Barring a major farm system overhall (which may be underway - the O's director of scouting was fired this week) and significant free agent aquisitions, the O's will struggle to .500 in the AL East. They need a 3 -5 year plan in place.
Josh Fogg (985)
Bill Beckmann (979)
Osvaldo Fernandez (976)
Jason Dickson (976)
Jack Urban (976)
Dave Johnson (974)
Johnny Stuart (974)
Bob Chesnes (973)
Roy Sherid (973)
Mike Grace (972)
Was anyone on that list more than a mediocre third starter?
2 hours in the car<ride the metro, see the pirates
And MLB should force the Rangers to give up rights to the Senators as its next big move. It's the right thing to do.
Congratulations to you guys. Everybody should have baseball in their backyard. It's part of rules for "Cities I could live in." I really hated driving to Balmer to go to a game.

Then you should have lived in Baltimore. :)

you wanna borrow my Red Sox hat?
The last time I wore a Red Sox hat to a baseball game was in Yankee Stadium, 1978ish. Yankees clinched the pennant, Ed Figueroa became the first Puerto Rican to win 20 games, and some fucker knocked my Red Sox hat off my head and into the crowd.
As a pissed off 11 year old Red Sox fan, I turned around, ready to deck whatever fucking Yankee fan had done that. Turned out to be one of my friends.

Well he aint my friend anymore.
Another Red Sox hat story…my brother was living in Baltimore a few years ago, and was walking in the area just outside of the Inner Harbor, heading toward Federal Hill.
Three youths proceeded to run by and steal his Red Sox hat off of his head. He proceeded the pull a knife out and start chasing them. They freaked, dropped his hat, and ran.
With that much fan dedication, the Sox better win the series…

Looks like the official announcement will be made today at 5. Washington Post front page says, "Baseball Returns to Washington
Commissioner Selig tells Mayor Williams the news that the Expos will move to D.C. is official."

I just watched a few minutes of the announcement, some pretty cheesy stuff.
