The Stooges have announced dates and I was surprised that there was no date in D.C. I hope they play at 9:30, so I do not have to drive up to Philly.

Yeah, all of the venues already announced are much bigger, so I would doubt that we'd be seeing them at the 9:30. But I would LOVE that very much if it were to happen!
They are playing the Electric Factory, which is by no definition a theater. I don't see why they would play there but not the 9:30. Boston on Easter break!
so they want a theater? DC has theaters (warner, lincoln, howard, kennedy, etc). so that's not the limiting factor…
