Sure he can hit, just ask his girlfriend. And he's 33 years old. How old do these dumb jocks have to be before you stop referring to them as "kids" and start referring to them as girlfriend/spouse abusers?

As a Cincinnati Reds fan, let me say that getting rid of Dmitri Young was one of the best things to happen to our club since getting rid of Marge Schott. And while I was impressed with Bowden's ability to fleece his old club with the Kearns/Lopez acquisition last summer, this is awful. The Nats may need Young's bat, but there are similar bats available that don't come with a criminal record.

The proverbial clubhouse cancer. If you're going to field a team that' terrible for the foreseeable future, at least don't make your fans support aholes.

He hasn't even been invited to spring training yet.

I remember when he came up with the Cardinals, I thought he was going to be great, he never did end up being as good as he could have been.

Dumb move by the nationals.
