Good delivery pizza?

Is there anywhere other than the chains (Papa Johns, Manny & Olgas) that delivers good, basic pizza in the U street/Logan Circle area? Alberto's in Dupont is too expensive and slow for my taste.

I saw Mario's was opening a location way up on Georgia Ave, anyone know if they're open and if they'd deliver down to Logan?
Armand's Pizza would probably deliver to your place, according to the information listed on the website.
Politely talk about all things pizza here. Even that Culkin kid whose name I can't spell.
Calzones v. Pizza - Opinions?
Spurred by the closing of D.P. Dough in College Park.
There is a neat little Halal pizza place in old Greenbelt called DMV Pizza that sells what is essentially a small pizza folded in half.
Their pizza is alright, but a little saucy.
Also, it seems in Montreal all the cheap pizza places have meal deals including greasy, gravey-ey poutine and I really really think that could sell in the states.

I'm very much a calzone fan. I've never had a bad calzone – I've had many bad pizzas. When in doubt, calzone it up.
^ the tastemaker speaks my mind.

as a kid, there was a mall restaurant that made a calzone that i loooooooooooved.  i remember going to that food court one year for my birthday meal.

and poutine destroys all.  you haven't lived until you'd gotten one from a truck in the dead of a canadian winter, where the fries are too hot to eat right out of the box but by the time you get a bite to your mouth the air has cooled them off.  then you slap on your skates and glide across the pond… went out to an irish pub last night and my friend ordered the "irish poutine" - corned beef and cabbage on top.  ruled, surprisingly.
so who cares about Pizza (because obviously some of you don't know what that word means)

Where is the killer poutine in DC??
Time to start a best French fry thread, which is high jacked after 4 posts, in which we talk about where the best steak and cheese is.

2. Pete's Pizza

It's Pete's aPizza.  IMO one of the best…do not deliver and apparently Arlington doesn't agree as the Clarendon one closed recently

Where is 2 Amys

I think Flipping Pizza is makes a decent slice

Pupatella also makes a pretty mean pie
Of the four "build your own" personal pizza places I've tried:

Blaze - garbage

MOD - weirdly flavorless

Lotsa - good to very good

&Pizza - excellent

Other than their website address, I've never heard anyone refer to it with the "a" in front of it. The Silver Spring used to deliver and also closed… I think they were just a victim of too many locations, at any rate, still great pizza IMO.

Never been a fan of 2 Amys or Flippin'. 2 Amys may have fallen victim of it was in a pain in the ass location mixed with always packed.

Never heard of Pupatella, but I'll seek it out.

Agreed. Good stuff.
OTW to Stained Glass Pub for carryout.

Approved.

The Corner Pub has a good square pie… And how on earth did I forget Continental Pizza in Kensington?

Went there for ol' times sake a few years ago and was underwhelmed. Corner Pub is better.

Continental sells pizza?  Have only had cheesesteaks there but not a one in the last 20 years.

Edit to say that if I were in Kensington I'd go to Pacci's in Forest Glen.  Never been but did eat at the Silver Spring location (RIP).
