Lily Allen knocked em out!!!

Just got back from the Lily Allen show and must say it was a great show as usual. DJ Aaron LaCrate was good too. But I must say….not going to pay$25 for a tee or get your CD for $15 when it was $8 the week of release. Crowded show with all mixes….Lily really made me smile!!!
It was a very good show, but do you really have to post another thread about Lily Allen?
Why of course……just joking….this will be the last post about her for now…..
Where were you?
Her album is $8 again next week at Best Buy (Hold Stready's album is $8 as well). You know, if you're unhip enough to frequent such stores.
She was terrific! I hope she comes through here again. I was super impressed with Aaron too, I'd love to see him again as well.
Was it over by 9 PM?
she played from 9 thru 10:10 :)
Why are you calling me unhip? Got a question……does anyone have albums from Peaches before when she was a folk singer or something???
lilly allen died this morning.

oops.

no more threads!
that is just mean…..get a life.
I thought the show was fantastic. Unfortunately, I got there a bit late. (I found out that my aunt lost her battle to cancer, explains why i was late…) I really enjoyed what did I get to see though. It was a nice to see a cool mix of people in the crowd. I don't think I saw anyone under the age of 16. I could be wrong though. I thought the set was pretty fantastic as well. I was thrilled with her cover of blank expression by the specials. (btw, does anyone have a complete setlist? i'm trying to remember what she played and which songs i probably missed…) I really hope she does come back to the DC area. I hope she'll be back to the 930 club but something tells me DAR constitution hall.

After the show was over, I hung out for a while by the stage. She actually came out and talked to me and a few other fans. Lily was sooo nice. I got a few pictures with her and an autograph. We briefly talked about British ska and late 70s punk.

ps- I bought a t-shirt for 25 bucks, why? because I wasn't sure when she might be back. makes sense, right? and on another note, I payed 9 bucks for her cd a few weeks ago.

You were not towards the front then.

Will you share them with us?
Here's the Feb 8th set list from Chicago which was almost exactly the same at the NYC show I saw two nights later, except for the fact that she added the Kooks "Naive" after "Everything's Changing".

Apparantly Lily and the Kooks are good mates … now that's a double bill I'd like to see!
