Was doing a little shopping today for my square 9-5 jobby. At Nordstrom and then I saw it. A table full of Clash and Ramones t-shirts. $49.99 each. I almost threw up right there.
What kind of idiot shells out 50 clams for a Clash t-shirt?

One of those "nouveau riche" who has absolutely no idea of what taste/individuality really is but figures that whatever the cost, they will pay it to look trendy and "with the times."
Also, someone who missed out the first time around, re: those bands/seeing them live.
Of course, I can't be all negative - there might be the person who genuinely is interested in those artists and just figures, what the hell, and will pay that sum.
Recently I have seen such t-shirts (used mostly) going for sale on Ebay for those prices, and higher. People are buying them.
Cheers

Really. It's not like they're 20 year old "vintage" tour shirts, or you can't get them for $15-20 somewhere else.
