White Stripes?

I hope I'm not just scaring everyone up and starting a false rumor here (well, actually, I hope I am) but I've heard that The White Stripes have just cancelled two UK festivals for 2 different reasons. One was T In The Park and maybe the other was this weekend's Move Festival.
One of the stories is that Jack and Meg have been fighting very badly and aren't talking. The other is of a much bigger concern and that is that, supposedly, Jack has broken his hand.
Okay, anybody know any truth here?…Not speculation. Obviously, this may have an impact on the US tour, especially if the hand thing is true. Let's hope it's all British rag false gossip.

Yikes. White Stripes' guitar man Jack White suffered a fracture in his left hand in an automobile accident Wednesday. He was driving in Detroit with girlfriend, Renee Zellweger, when another car reportedly ran into him.
Renee was not hurt, and Jack escaped major injury. The problem is that when you are a guitar player in a band that's composed solely of guitar and drums, a break in your hand puts you out of commission.
Again, yikes. And dang.
Thus, the White Stripes' sold-out July 29 engagement at the Ryman Auditorium is now postponed. Ryman General Manager Pam Matthews says September, October or November are likely months for the show. All tickets for the July 29 date will be honored at the rescheduled date.
Seeing as July 29 comes after July 26….

The question is - What the hell is Jack doing with Renee? He could do a hell of a lot better. I think the truth of the matter is that she was driving and when she smiled, those fat cheeks of hers scrunched up and forced her eyes closed, hence causing the accident.
And poorlulu, is your cable broken or something? That gossip is soooooo old. Here's an update – Winona is now dating Jack Osbourne, Cameron dumped Justin and is now with Vince Vaughn, and Ryan Adams has dumped Leona Naess for Parker Posey.

it must be love if renee is in detroit, wonder if he was giving her a tour of his old hood.
i saw on imdb that "edge of reason" is scheduled to start shooting in nov with renee, etc . but as kosmette points out it's just a different version of "the beach".
