Kosmo your moderation is appreciated. Although I didn't take it as an attack, I did think the commentary / post was inappropriate.

You "haven't really been following this story", but yet you're spending your time reading Aruban crime rate statistics?
What story have you been following? The Sidney Ponson story?

From what I've read, the crime rate in Aruba makes the U.S. (and pretty much any other country) look like the Wild West. Prior to Holloway, there were something like three murders and ten rapes in the previous five years. And a bank robbery in 2003.
So, can we assume that any young woman that goes home with a guy she meets in a club (anywhere in the world) is walking into a lion's den and should expect to be raped and killed?

I think a senior trip should have some sort of educational value. Is there anything of cultural or historical significance in Aruba, or for that matter, Ocean City?

You're a freak. What a wonderfully sheltered existence you must lead.
One is far more likely to be the victim of crime in the U.S. than in another country.

Man, I guess you have never read all those cool T-shirts for sale on the Ocean City Boardwalk.

Actually, I've read Aruba is the number one vacation destination for drunken Irish bastards, and they have a high number of spics and negros there already, so it's pretty damn likely crimes will be commited anyway.
(Hey, if he can use racial and ethnic slurs, why can't we all?)

I believe he's already explained to us that he doesn't think doodle is a bad word. Can't remember which thread that was in.

So if I don't think saying certain board members are whores is disparaging, it should be fine? Great.

This is distracting from my point: to put it another way, as long as KKK members don't think calling people certain names is offensive, does that make it a-ok? Shouldn't the recipient be the one to decide whether the word that is being lobbed at them is offensive?
