wouldn't count on a 2nd show. Unless they do a late show. The club is booked for the next night (Ween).
Bede, are you going to go? I just got my Live DVD in the mail on Tuesday, and it definitely got me ready for this show. It's been way too long since they've been around.

got the ween dvd the other day as well… I was at those shows in chicago, unbelievable!! I can't wait for these two nights, two of my favorite bands two nights in a row!!

Taylor's got a point. I mean, Ween are known for 3 hour plus live shows, and have 8 full lengths to pull songs from, in addition to the countless unreleased tracks and b-sides they regularly play, and have a guitarist and drummer that could smoke anyone Jeff Tweedy has ever played with. They definitely should open for Wilco.

Yeah, it's a lot better than I imagined, and man, the recording sounds amazing. Hell, most of the songs sound better than the studio versions, in my opinion. I can't remember the last time they played this way, although I think it was just under a year before Quebec came out, in Towson.

Sadly. . . . I think my girlfriend would agree with you guys. Get a couple late-night beers in her, and out comes the Ween CD (the one with the girl wearing the championship belt on the cover?). It's not bad, I'm just relatively under-exposed to them and not a super fan. I WILL say that it's usually a good sign with then Ween CD comes out, for whatever that's worth.

Anyway, in the liner notes to the first live Ween album, it mentions that one of the songs was recorded during a 4 date tour with Uncle Tupelo, and that when Ween were leaving the last date, they heard a radio interview with UT where they basically accused Ween of being racists and being nightmares to tour with.
