Speaking of GI, stubbled upon Complete History Volume 2 earlier this year. Good CDs, still trying to track down Vol. 1

That's rather hilarious, especially because I truly *haven't* heard of this band, just like they say!

As for getting all the ladies, well, perhaps I should indeed go down that route …

Their claim to fame is the Dave Grohl was in the band for a bit. Although I have no idea if he was in the band when I saw them.

Of all the bands in this sampling of old DC bands Scream is my favorite. When I was a kid in Arl. me and my friends didn't really like Minor Threat. Partly cuz of the whole straightedge thing and partly cuz I think since they had been so big and popular we viewed them as more of the establishment or whatever. I've learned to appreciate them much more since them.

One of my first punk/underground shows was Scream opening for the Damned at the old club…it was the Damned's Phantasmagoria tour. Totally blew my mind. Good times.
