I think they went after the gunshop in Washington state because the gunshop owner did not follow procedures before selling guns, and never kept records.

DC has a law that gun manufactures can be held responsible for crimes committed with their products…which is Bo'o'o'o'ogus. That's like sueing Toyota if some Baw'heed has an accident in one of their cars.
