Not to get all technical, but they're not "whores," they are "strippers."

quote:
Originally posted by markie:
isnt it a restaurant and nightclub?
Someone I know worked just down from there. I did too. It really looks like one. Then one day I actually looked at the door. What's up with that place?

quote:
Originally posted by Dandy01:
that reminds me, one of my friends thought Royal Palace was a Chinese restaurant for the longest time, har har.

I'm not sure how a thread about the 930 Club winning an award degenerated into a discussion about the difference between whores and strippers, but I like it.
I thought they were called dancers now….

quote:
Originally posted by markie:
have you seen them? If you had you would guess that they were whores not strippers.

Isn't this the third year in a row that 9:30 has won this award?
What's the criteria? Is it just based on tickets sold?

Props to the three guys who seem to live there Ed, Chad and Josh.

Not to get all technical again, but I think the 9:30 is more of a venue than a club. You go, you see the band, you leave.

quote:
Originally posted by jadetree:
then why do they call them club tours?

i always figured that a club WAS a venue. Different from a stadium or arena or field or something, venue just being the place at which an event is held.
but who knows
a club may or may not be a venue, and a venue may or may not be a club.
9:30 is called a nightclub venue because of its size. other types of venues are theaters, arenas, and stadia.
does anyone else ever start to question words when they type them a lot? venue is a weird word.
Yes but usually it is that words that come in different fonts than what you are used to look really weird. That is why I keep a dictionary here at the computer. Lowercase "i"s in words are the worst, look at all those extra lines that you normally don't get.
