Rock singer Courtney Love is pregnant by Alan Partridge star Steve Coogan, it has been reported.
According to a tabloid newspaper, Love, 41, discovered she was expecting the British comedian's baby through a home pregnancy kit.
She told the paper: "Yes, I am pregnant with Steve's baby, but I'd rather not talk about our relationship."
A friend of the singer said the baby was conceived during a two week fling while the pair staying at the Sunset Marquis hotel in Hollywood.
The friend added: "She hasn't made any decisions about whether she should keep the baby or not."
However, Coogan's spokeswoman has dismissed the claim as "nonsense".
The troubled widow of Nirvana's Kurt Cobain and former lead singer with Hole is currently in rehab after admitting using drugs while on probation in three separate drug and assault cases. She will be sentenced for the violations on September 16.
Coogan's marriage to Caroline Hickman ended last month after she divorced him on the grounds of unreasonable behaviour.
Coogan, 39, married Caroline in December 2002. They had just got back together after splitting up when he had a fling with a lap dancer.

that would be Tony Wilson in 24 hour party people… Tony Wilson being the "head" of the greatest british record label Factory records.
and he plays Alan Partridge in the brilliant BBC series "I'm Alan Partridge", which was loosely based on Tony Wilson.
he was also in that medicore remake of Around the World in 80s. Ben Stiller is a huge fan and will co-star with him in a remake of "The Persuaders"

Love and Coogan deny baby claim
Reports that US singer Courtney Love is pregnant with Steve Coogan's child have been dismissed by both stars.
In a statement, rock star Love denied reports in The News of the World that she was pregnant by the UK comedian, or that they had had a relationship.
"She confirms that she and Steve are good friends and have met a few times in Los Angeles," it added.
A spokeswoman for Coogan had earlier told the BBC: "It's nonsense". She declined to comment further.
The denials follow reports in The News of the World on Sunday which quoted 41-year-old Love as saying she was "pregnant with Steve's baby".
But The Sun has since contradicted the story, reporting that Around the World in 80 Days actor Coogan was "astonished" by the "ridiculous" claim.
Reports published earlier this month claimed Coogan - best known for his role as spoof DJ Alan Partridge - had had an affair with Love - the widow of Kurt Cobain.
These stories were subsequently dismissed by his spokesman, who said they were "just good friends".
On Friday Love was ordered to enter a drug rehabilitation clinic by a Los Angeles judge, who said he would consider sending her to jail for violating her parole terms.
Love - who has an 11-year-old daughter by Cobain named Frances Bean - is now expected to spend a month at a residential treatment centre.
In July, Coogan's wife Caroline Hickman was granted a divorce on the grounds of unreasonable behaviour.
She had married the 39-year-old comedian in December 2002.
