So according to the web, The Music will be coming to DC, finally. They are simply the best new band out there, i think. Touring with Coldplay now, but no DC dates, they will go on tour with the Vines (i know) and supposedly be in DC on 4/15.
Anyone who might be interested can look at www.themusic.uk.com for thier site.

they are just stone roses wannabees, right?

The stone rose were influential because they had one of the best most original albums of the 80's. When the music are that good I will eat my computer
are we that old that we need to make a comparison for every new band? or can we just listen to the music?

well it is a music forum. And the people is incredibly similar sounding to the Stone Roses. So it doesnt matter to you if something is totally derivative, as long as it sounds ok?
HUM?

not totally derivative, but it owes a serious musical debt to……
And as for Interpol I have been slagging them off for months.
Why didnt you like the stone roses? The eponymous album was one of the greatest albums. I am the resurection is one of the finest songs ever.
Do I really need to effuse more?

quote:
Originally posted by markie:

Do I really need to effuse more?

no need. I just dont like the Stone Roses, kinda boring to me. When i hear it , i want to turn it off, pretty simple. good enough?
if they were as good as The Music i would listen to them

I can't stand the Stone Roses.
What is it like to be a loon?
I can understand you not likeing them Thirsty, they are not dissonant and the dont have experimental guitar tunings. nor do they "play" their guitars by throwing tennis balls at them.
as for the other guy, well if you like the music you should like the stone roses. It is who the music aspire to be after all.

i should, but i cant, i have tried.

I liken it to a balloon
