Ladytron

we're leaving richmond in 10 minutes.
Room for 2. need a ride?
springfield, arlington, fredericksburg, only close to 95 please.
this is your only chance!
be careful parking on the street as u street might be considered a snow emergency route so then you'd need to park elsewhere in the neighborhood.
are you coming in via 395? i'm right off 395 in sw, dc, near l'enfant plaza…
yes, i could take the metro, but it'll be an hour wait for my train…
that said, those of you stuck in va, please step right in front of me in the queue.
wait a second, you're really going to drive in all the way from richmond and then home again in the same night? you're going to spend 7 hours total driving for a 3 hour show? *mind boggled*
you already have a long enough drive, i'll hop the metro. thanks for the offer.
ok - we're leaving to drive lots of hours to hear music for 3 hours. and we're ok with that.
have fun waiting for the metro…
enjoy the show.
be safe! see you there in a few hours.
harness the sled dog early so you can get there in time for phaser. should be excellent.
some reason metro isn't listing the time tables for the trains today like they did yesterday? wtf? they tell you to call customer service but its always busy. wouldn't it be more effective for metro to post on the website? novel concept, eh?
[This message has been edited by lily1 (edited 02-17-2003).]
Metro is running trains only once an hour and with limited service.
WHY AREN'T THEY POSTPONING THIS CONCERT?! I've waited so long for this concert and now I'm trapped! According to www.nbc4.com,; Metro is only running underground! So that means I either have to hoof it to L'enfant Plaza or buy an SUV
I want to make sure that tonight's show has not been canceled…
Wish I could have been in Philly last night to see the show at the Troc…
If I wanted to walk from Alexandria to the 9:30 club, I should have left yesterday morning.
Take a cab, they will be happy to take your money.
oh youre in alexandria i thought you were further that that……………….
take a cab………you whiner………..
i already know that. what i was trying to say is that yesterday, on wmata.com they listed at what time to expect your train since they were running only every hour, and then only every two hours so you weren't waiting in the station and could plan better. i don't want to get there only to find out i just missed a train.

quote:
Originally posted by steelcuda:
Metro is running trains only once an hour and with limited service.

well, made it out the show, despite the snow……great show, and hey, they even smiled….(ahhaha) That guy was pretty annoying that kept yelling at them to dance though…sometimes people need to get a clue. anyway…for those that went..what was that last song they did ? I assume it was a cover..
how many people showed up???
there were probably about 400 people there. i was front and center since i got there so earlier (as chance would have it, i waited only 15 minutes for the metro) phaser was decent and i liked the acoustic approach. simian bored me. and i had to laugh when i heard some girl scream "english boys are hot" whilst i was thinking, damn, this has got to be one of the worst looking bands i've seen. ladytron was good, but i enjoyed the second half much better. i wasn't a fan of the chopppy lyrics and the second half was more melodious and fluid.
random question, anyone know the name of the song the dj played right after simian left the stage? its a favorite electronica song of mine but i just can't recall the artist.
