Back in the college days, my roommates and I were big WOV fans. Also if we needed to clear out a party in our apartment we would put on a little Call of the West.
I saw Stan Ridgeway a few years back at Ram's Head. Highly recommend seeing him if he ever comes back.

I wonder, is there any modern hipster reactionary phenomenon comparable to the anti -New Wave backlash of the late 70s/early eighties?
I have always been a "Wall" fan and I'm one of the lucky ones who got a chance to catch them live front & center back in '83 or '84, I think it was…..always been a big fan of Marc Moreland's sound….I'm going download some of the stuff you posted…….thanks!
