Go to this:

Tuesday October 12th

Kings Cross Water Rats

Earth the Californian Love Dream
Televise
Sennen
+ DJs Monster Movie

8pm til late
£5adv or £6 on the door

More information is here: http://www.clubac30.com

Also, the Lloyd Cole & The Commotions gig on October 15th is a no-brainer. You absolutely **MUST** go to that. :)

Cheers

DJ Medusa.
when you get there, immediately buy "time out" magazine, it's got info on concerts, plays, museum exhibits, and tons of cool stuff. i worshipped that magazine when i was over there in the spring.

And don't forget that London Broil…matey.

Also, go to Soho. Hire a "model".

Knock twice. (Nudge nudge)
check out Tate Modern. Unfortunately you just missed the Edward Hopper exhibit.
You definitely HAVE to go to the Tate Modern. And if possible, you should see the Turners at the original Tate Gallery. (Turner is one of my favorite artists.) As for shows, it does look like you are narrowly missing some. But here are a few ideas:

10/9 Clinic, To Rococo Rot, etc. @ Hackney Empire
10/12 Bloc Party @ Lock 17 (in Camden!) -and- Club AC30 as Medusa recommended (If you can only make it to one of these, go to AC30.)
10/13 !!! @ The Astoria (very convenient location)
10/14 Seafood @ ULU (Don't miss Seafood!!)

There are some others (Razorlight), but they are sold out…

If you wanted to travel outside of London to Oxford, you could see several other bands like the 22-20s. And The Blueskins are playing a show in Nottingham.

I always try to catch at least one play while in London. You may want to check the theatre guide when you get there. I haven't looked at the listings lately because it's too painful to miss such good shows.

Perfect that you are staying near Camden. There is a lot going on in that area. The street markets alone are worth checking out. Oh! A terrific tiny venue is the Notting Hill Arts Club . Just a hangout during the day, but at night they have shows.

And when you get there, tell Robin that you are a friend of Jaguar's. :( We were even talking about maybe doing some kind of a Club DC30 thing (at my suggestion) possibly with Medusa and Strange but it's not to be at this time. If we ever work it out, I'll let you all know.

You should have asked days ago and I could have asked Robin for more info or some of my other friends what's going on.

Also, from the same source:
"The Zillions have got a residency at the Catch bar in Kingsland Road this
month, playing every Tuesday in October. I've heard fab things about them
and they're meant to be influenced by My Bloody Valentine amongst others so
right up your street if you like Club AC30. They are on at 9pm each week
and it's FREE to get in…and if that's not enough to tempt you, yours truly
will be manning the wheels of steel on Tuesday 19th under my Columbia Road
guise. Hope to see you down there!
