I'd go see Laura Veirs at Iota tonight but just returning to town & traffic sucks.
Joseph Arthur on Monday or Griffin House at JJ.

If I'm not at work until 10pm, I will definitely be at this show.

How was the Andrew Bird/Joan and Policewoman show?
Slaid Cleaves at Iota was pleasant. Cool to see small children at a show, though most appeared rather disinterested.

How was this? Their last 9:30 show was great. I disliked 10 Silver Drops at first, but it's really grown on me.

Well, I'm not sure, and I don't know how to find out. The Long Winters weeknight show started that late, but I've heard some others who were at shows with the headliner starting 10:30 or 11:00. Can you call over to find out? Anyone know??

The website says doors at 8/show at 9. 3 bands. I would hope for 9:00/10:00/11:00. A midnight start time would really piss me off.
I'm definitely going though.
Well, if the show starts at 9:00, we should be in good shape for no later than 11:00. I'll likely be there…

i know this is way late, but just as an fyi it was part of the highline festival (the one bowie curated) and was at highline ballroom.
long story relaxer - but i ended up leaving early. was doing a 6 mile walk (AIDSwalk) on sunday morning nice and early. i left about half way into the set i guess. i remembered liking them a lot more the first time i had seen them (opening for interpol), and i might have just been really tired, but really didnt care for them. the drummer revealed what looked like a brand new drumset. it sounded really great. each song was running the gamut of nearly 10 mins and i normally dig that stuff, but wasnt working for me. they did sound really good tho.
highline ballroom is a pretty great place. i like it even more since its nearly on 10th Ave (which i live on) and so its easy to get to :) and i believe its all ages, because i didnt see them checking ID at the door. So I guess thats good for all the younger folk of NYC who cant get into a lot of shows.
