I have tried both netvibes and newsvine before, but for some reason I always stop using them, they are pretty cool from a geek point of view though. Newsvine just made alot of changes didnt they?

i haven't really been able to get into newsvine (although it seems really useful), but i REALLY like netvibes, especially when you start rooting around the user-generated tabs and stuff like that, it's a pretty cool interface

this is the travel website that keeps me on planes:
http://matrix.itasoftware.com/cvg/dispatch/prego/calendar it's a meta-search engine, lots of different ways of planning your trip, the "Search any 30 day period for the lowest prices" and "Find the cheapest weekend to travel in any 30 day period" features are very useful.

Thanks, Hoya! I'm in the planning stages of adding some more distance to my morning run, and was all set to drive around clocking the odometer to see the next step up. This will definitely save me some time!
EDIT: Although it looks like just adding another mile to my trip isn't as easy as I thought

no problem, i love that site and it's also great for we bordering-on-OCD types who want to find the shortest walking route somewhere (and spend more time finding the quicker route than you actually would have saved by taking that route)
come on people, keep the sites coming, i'm sure some of you have some good ones up your sleeve … any good local sites?
