i like the front door staff at the club. sometimes they can be so nice when your coming in (polite and the like), and other times….whew! i once showed my id to the wrong person and the lady bit my head off, telling me she'd seen too many ugly people already tonight. i smiled and wondered, 'did she just call me ugly too?' what a wonderful first (walk through the door) impression of the place. oh well, i'm sure i forgot after my first new castle. countdown to the cult on aug. 16!!!!!

by the way, did anybody catch last year's run of an attempt to have the Doors tour. was ian still involved in that debacle. his voice was a great attempt at the legend, but it was like nirvana touring again with andrew w.k. as kurt.
word up to that guy who i still think looks like emmit, and whom is clutching the front stage at every 930 show i've ever been to. i'll peek you out at polyphonic, if the spell of a real live cult hasn't warped me into ordering spiked kool aid by the second song.
