hey man, i don't know what's going on with this event - but i can't even GIVE my ticket away!
Curiosa Ticket giveaway
pm me, perhaps i can help.
Anyone have an idea about set times for the two stages? I've tried searching around the net and Cure and Curiosa's website with no luck.
the cure play @ 9:30 til… whenever robert's peruvian marching powder runs out.
(that's the only time you should worry about)
try www.chainofflowers.com they have anything you'd ever wanna know about the cure on the site… incl the latest on that boil on robert's ass he had lanced and a robert smith nose-hair count- broken down by the nostral.

if Muse goes on at 6pm and i dont know, I'll murder LOTS of people.
So this means you got tickets, Sonick? And I was gonna give you my freebies if I got 'em…
based on the 11pm curfew at Merriweather I would guess the cure hit the stage at 9pm…
if the reviews grotty posted are any indication then the bands alternate between second and main stage starting at 5pm… but having no idea how long of set each band is getting could not guess when muse is playing, although it would appear they are headliner for the second stage.

Set times are important because we all know how easy it's going to be to get to Merriweather on a Friday afternoon!

Mogwai, Rapture, Interpol and The Cure in that order, so i would say 6pm, 7pm, 8:15, 9:30 kinda deal. the 2nd stage is odd cause it changes city by city.
According to the NY Times, the bands play basically consecutively for half hour each on the two stages, so there's just about always music and everyone has a chance to see every band. If the Cure's set is 2 hours (which is the Randalls Island set length), they'd be on at 9:00. I know, key is what order the bands are playing. ???

I think it is safe to say I would only go if it were free. But a number of bands peak my interest. As does hanging out in the back bar and getting drunk. Course, you do have to get home somehow….

hmm… drunk biking…
i too think i'll go if i get free tickets, but the sheer cost of taking time off work is keeping me from buying them. To be realistic, one would have to take nearly a half-day off on Friday to catch this show. Suck.

Oh wait…we already have that.
I'm not understanding why so many folks think you have to take a whole day or half day off for this show…I work downtown, we're leaving at 4:00 (unless I can get someone to leave at 3:00 with me), we'll be there before 5:00, and no bands have even started yet.
