Looks like they have managed some US coverage.

The Mank likes them so they must be shite…right?

Rain Band reviews from the board?

I turned Rotten's friend onto them and he went out of his way to thank me, so there's another one for you. (Rotten, I've got info for your friend to hook him up with management. It might help if he uses me as a reference since they know me and they know that I've gotten them a lot of British fans.)

They are very Northern with a bit of a Skiffle sound to their music with their local hit being I've Got Me Parka.
Originally posted by thirsty moore:I don't know but it's pretty old. For all I know, it could be a cover but yeah, it's the same song.
How recent is that hit? I heard that song years ago.
I used to be a punk, but now that punk's sunk… I got me parka.

I like The Rain Band a lot and have been talking about them on this board for months. But Mankie does have a point. In order for them to survive, they will need to find a few other musical areas to explore. They do that with a couple songs on the album which are more Dance-like, and the ones that I like the least. But that's just my taste. I've been into them for quite awhile now and have been able to hear the progression of the band which gives me lots of hope as I can hear a much more mature and focused sound, though that is mostly studio driven.
Bags, try to listen to the songs Knee Deep & Down and The World Is Ours…my favorites. Also check out The Runaways, Into The Light, Lucifer and Fist Of Fury. Fist Of Fury is going to be their next single.
Just got the limited digipack edition of the Knee Deep & Down single the other day. A friend of mine in London had some extra copies and sent me one along with a Mark Gardner (of Ride) promo and a promo of Doves doing Space Face at the Eden Festival last year. Doves management sent me the Space Face promo too. :D
Rhett wouldn't like them but anyone who tends to like the Manchester scene would probably like The Rain Band. I turned Rotten's friend onto them and he went out of his way to thank me, so there's another one for you. (Rotten, I've got info for your friend to hook him up with management. Not that this has anything to do with the music but they are all nice looking, especially Richard Nancollis who is hot. :D (Don't go by the drummer because they don't have a permanent drummer and use different ones.)
I wouldn't reccomend Sussed for anyone but hardcore collectors or those who really like their style. They are very Northern with a bit of a Skiffle sound to their music with their local hit being I've Got Me Parka. It's okay just for fun but nothing to go out of your way for.

Originally posted by Mongo:It only has Space Face on it and it's from last year's Eden Festival. If I remember correctly, it will be on the upcoming DVD released in the UK on Sept. 29th. Our problem is that damn regional setting thing. Guess you already know about that and that some of the songs from Lost Sides will be included though not some of the better songs.
Does that spaceface promo have any othe songs on it or just spaceface? Wonder if they get tired of playing it after all of these years.
