His early work was a little too New Wave for my
taste. But then Mellon Collie and the infinite sadness came out in 1995, I think he really
came into his own, commercially and artistically.

What does this have to do with Whitney Houston?
I think Corgan is working on writing the new Pumpkins album, and sometime in the Spring he's going to just "pop" out of nowhere with a band like he did with Zwan (when they played their first show, they already had 40-50 songs tracked).
As for his creativity, I think obviously it's not where it was, but then again most artists put out their definitive work before the age of 30, in my experience. Alot of unreleased Zwan stuff sounded like SP, but he left it off albums because he was trying to do something "different." It'll be interesting to see where the next release goes anyway.

In 1993, Corgan released this, Siamese Dream, his most
accomplished album. I think I his undisputed masterpiece is
"today," a song so catchy that most people probably
don't listen to the lyrics. But they should because it's not
just about the pleasures of conformity and the importance of
trends. It's also a personal statement about the band itself.
The whole album has a clear, crisp sound and a new sheen of
consummate professionalism that gives the songs a big boost.

Emily Saliers and Amy Ray put on the most fun show I have been to in quite a while. They are consummate musicians and their perfectly complementing vocals were in top form, of course, but it was the extremely enthusiastic and knowledgeable audience (who predominantly seemed to know every word to every song in the Indigo Girls repertoire) which elevated the show for me. My love affair with Indigo Girls is renewed.

As usual, I'm the oddball here as I kind of like some his new work. Can't say that I like everything on it but there is some good guitar work in there. I'm not in love with any of the songs but I was suprised to find myself liking a few of them.
With that said, I can't stand anything ever released by The Smashing Pumpkins, Zwan, nor any other solo Billy Corgan. I do love the work that he did with New Order though.
Oh, and Whitney Houston sucks blow!
