entourage

Any Entourage fans out there? I really love this show but have a feeling it will not be long-term. It just seems too smart. How long can it stay on the air for?

>>> It's always improving….Piven is a lock for the Emmy this year or it'll be highway robbery!
HBO head Chris Albrecht is a HUGE fan of the show, which has already been renewed for next year and he wants 22 episodes completed for the next season. It's not going ANYWHERE……….."hug it out, bitch"!
I've never seen it, but my mother is a big fan.

Considering that her other favorite show is Murder She Wrote, I'm not sure this is a ringing endorsement.
when i grow up, i want to be turtle

seriously, a great show
love the show, plus they play great music :) cant imagine HBO would be getting rid of the show anytime soon. but im sick of seeing mandi moore. cant they get rid of her yet!

Call me Helen Keller because I'm a fucking miracle worker!
Smoke more weed Turtle. Seriously, smoke more weed.

A funny satire on Hollywood life that makes HBO worth paying for while we wait for more of The Sopranos and Curb Your Enthusiasm.
FINALLY, something we can agree on…I love the show…but I'm sick of Mandy Moore too…how they gonna get rid of her tho? I can't believe Roddy McDowell's got a reoccurring role. Who's next for an extended cameo?

I believe they hinted at this in the preview for next week. She is seen leaving a hotel w/ her ex-fiancée.
Outside of "Scrubs," the funniest show on TV right now.

"We are gonna get drunk with Russell Crowe and we're gonna head-butt some goddamn kangaroos."
The guy from 40 yr old virgin, Steve Coogan.

but annie sullivan was the miracle worker, hellen keller was just the deaf/dumb/blind kid (who sure plays a mean pinball).
Bob Saget was quite funny on that show, maybe they can bring him back.

"I'm a big fan. So are my daughters, but do me a favour: don't fuck 'em. Don't fuck my daughters, Vince."
- Bob Saget on Entourage

do you want it to be long-term? i love the show, but i can't see it (nor do i want it) to last for more than 4-5 seasons or so, i'd say 2-3 more after this one …

Sports Guy talked about that too, saying how the Shue effect has been greatly squashed by the Dillon effect.

"One of my favorite dumb Hollywood quirks: The Shue Phenomenon, which applies whenever a less famous sibling suddenly becomes more famous than their famous sibling (like Andrew Shue surpassing sister Elisabeth during his first few years on "Melrose Place", before she dramatically reclaimed the throne with "Leaving Las Vegas"). And I mention this only because Kevin Dillon's improbable passing of Matt Dillon (thanks to "Entourage") has to be the greatest moment in the history of the Shue Phenomenon … in fact, Clint Howard would need to direct three consecutive Oscar winners to approach what's happening here."
I heart Piven. In all things. But Ari takes the cake. He and Turtle get all the great lines. From the first season when he took his Viagra but then his wife starts walking out on him:

"C'mon, I'm like R. Kelly at recess here!"

His delivery is great.
The show is smart, funny, well written and acted. It will eventually run its course and fade away, either completely or in interest. For now though it's the funniest show on cable television.

Hate to break this news to you…Roddy McDowell's been dead for years! You are speaking of Ari's boss who is played by "Clockwork Orange" star Malcom McDowell….
Really? Me bad pop culture maven.
