Fuck, I'm screwed when I'm older. I got sent to the principal's office when I was in elementary school for daydreaming.

Funny, we must have read that article at the same time. I too started worrying.
After working with people with Alzheimer's, it didn't surprise me in the least but I'm not fully convinced that daydreaming alone will lead to Alzheimer's but I do fully suspect that a lack of other brain activity will eventually lead to an atrophy of the brain, hence Alzheimer's. Something that I picked up on early on with some of my residents.

There is more money being spent on breast implants and Viagra today than on Alzheimer's research. This means that by 2040, there should be a large elderly population with perky boobs and huge erections and absolutely no recollection of what to do with them.Peoples priorities are so off base. Saddening.

Sparx, you think that's bad. Another thing that I learned that was a big surprise to me is that those who suffer from dementia and Alzheimer's sometimes develop very strong sex urges. Being demented, they lose the ability to reason when and where doing something about it is okay. Some strange things go on in the dementia units and it's not just lots of people sitting around waiting for the bus that never shows up, bumming money for said bus, looking for their mothers or trying to make the big break.
