Charanga Cakewalk was a really chill all-instrumental sort of Friends of Dean Martinez/Calexico band, with accordion and organ in there. I'd definitely go see 'em again.
Their sound engineer had changeover music between Charanga Cakewalk and Patty Griffin.
me thinks brennser is creating a new ipod playlist as we speak ;)
yeah, thats a damn fine setlist twangirl - thanks for posting
i thought i heard at least some vocals during the openers' set? some of their stuff was very good - at points, though, it drifted into Muzak territory.

liked hearing Ollabelle - although John the Revelator is far and away my favorite track on the disc.
Ok so I was in the office some during Charanga Cakewalk's set, must have missed the vocals. Were they any good?
honestly, i don't remember, they weren't very complex, that's for sure. i just remember hearing vocals and being surprised to hear them for the first time, about 20 mins into the set at least.

I can't believe that has never occured to me before – make a playlist of a great setlist! YES! (Though I've done it for concerts, but not DJ setlists)
