Metric Rollcall

Anyone? I'll be there in the DJ booth…
10pm? dang. i usually don't metro but was planning to for this show. i guess most bands don't play for 2 hours. i'll have to leave around 11:30.
Cool Kosmo – I'll be there, but I have a work event and my just get in by 10:00….

Gwen, I've never seen Metric play even as long as an hour and a half (I've seen them 4 or 5 times – everytime they've been at 9:30 Club); you should be fine…
cool on one hand, but not on another.

next week i'm seeing a band in baltimore that is never done their set before the 2 hour mark. which i guess some people might say is too long, but i'm dancing the whole time and don't even notice.

i only just started getting into metric so i'm super excited to see them for the first time.
how are the new songs?
(im seeing them tonight)

They're damn good based on what they played at V Fest a couple of weekends ago.

I'm going tonight as well…thought I'd do a Rach and announce my agenda for the evening.

so I'm going to….

well maybe not.
i didn't see any line last nite when i picked up tickets to another show…was it full?

I bet everyone was at the Mountain Goats show.

Definitely not full. We were figuring about 2/3 full. Kosmo can probably best estimate, as he got the view from above.
emily, sweetie.. how are you gonna cut "patriarch on a vespa" from the setlist?

b, i'll be the asshole screaming "patriarch!" apparently.
It was a great show, far better than their last in DC. Is anyone else slightly obsessed with "Joyride"? I wasn't too disappointed with the setlist, as this mini tour was advertised as a trial run for new songs; I just wish they could have thrown in "Up In Flames."

Not as good as cale's, but what can I say?

Yes. And it was great. Sloppy and a little too short, but still one of the better shows I have seen this year or last. The show-closing bass-and-crowd rendition of Jenny was worth the price of admission.
