While I love "What are you listening to now," I thought a thread just on new stuff would be cool.

I'm just on the first track now, but you can listen to the whole new Strokes album at MTV.com

So whaddya think?

It doesn't really change my opinion about The Strokes, which was pretty negative anyways.

I'm not a big fan either – don't even have the big debut album. But thought it's of interest to hear and either go out and buy or give you the reason not to….

It's pretty blah.

And I liked the first album.

I think it will out sell the first one becuase of their popularity, but it's a typical sophomore follow-up.

Only a couple of new songs played well live and it didn't sound too much different than the first.

Yeah sounds like and outtakes and b-sides companion to the debut. More of the same, just not as good.

I got ahold of it a couple months ago and only listened to it once. Sounds to me like a remix of the song on their first album that was repeated over and over again under different names.

I have no doubt that it will sell well…because the NME and MTV tells us so. :roll:
