Decemberists / Joggers

Anyone going? The Joggers got a little write up in the Post on Sunday.
Do people think this will sell out? - I would think yes if the backstage only holds 150 people.

But you are a known pessimist.
Although the guy on the door at the blackcat said there had been some buzz for the show and he recommended getting there reasonably early.
That said there is so much other stuff going on tomorrow night.

I'll be there.
Can you buy tickets in advance for Backstage shows?

I don't think so - will this literally be a queue up at 8 to get tickets at 8.30 to get in or is there any chance they sell tix a little early so I could pick them up on the way home from work?

No, you cannot buy tickets in advance for Backstage shows. You have to wait until they open the door and pay there at the Backstage entrance.
Nope, not going. Next week will be my killer week.

The last backstage queue I was in, the doors opened at 8.30. The red room bar opens at 8. I recommend getting to the red room before 8.30 and standing near the backstage entrance at or before 8.25.
There are no tickets or presales, you just pay as you go into the backstage area.

Man, I guess it's pointless to try and make it to both shows tomorrow…
Any chance I could show up at 8:30, pay to get in, rush to 9:30 for the show, and then make it back in time? It's been a while since I've been to the Backstage…do they just stamp your hand?

I plan to just pull a bar stool in front of the backstage door at 8, that's not annoying is it? This show should really be upstairs.
Maybe Arlo will go on really late and there will be time to catch them at the Velvet Lounge afterward.

I intend to go, I have really been enjoying both albums. Much to "who am I's" annoyance, who says he played me them ages ago and I said they were shit.
he remembers that, but he doesnt remember to give me his emusic password. What a git.
I was debating some kind of NKOTB, or Who am I double show. I guess who am I's is the one I am leaning toward most.
But the decemberists are by far and away my main priority. Mostly because they are not all that attractive, so I dont think my wife will hit on them. Oh little joy.

Is she still around??
I heard she ran off to become the tambourine player and full-time groupie for the High Strung.

I can't believe Arlo is playing the Lounge and nobody noted it here on the boards! Arlo is really good, I'm going to THAT!!
Does *anyone* have *any* idea when they might go on tomorrow night?
And Dressy Bessy's at the Lounge tonight!!??!! Man I've fallen down on the job.

Actually, it turned out she had no rythm so the tambourine thing was a complete train wreck.
Actually she is in NY today meeting an old friend…..Or that is what she says.

Allegedly they wear nice "jumpers."
And engage in mid-set fisticuffs.

Arlo were entertaining last time, with their fight and all. But, if you listen to Arlo's albums vs the Decemberists, I would think you were crazy for going to Arlo.
The lower down the food chain concerts go, the more unpredictable set times are, or even set listings.

They are not playing, but then you wouldnt want music to get in the way of "socializing", would you?
