Dont know why Im spending time defending them (bored at work) but they do add a couple tracks that arent on the album as well.
'55' was one of their strongest songs of the set and its not on the album.
Is Morrissey gay? Read somewhere that he was but Ive seen so many articles that contradict each other.
Dude, I need to go home.
Kasabian

Back on topic. I'm definitely coming to check out Kasabian because I only hear good things about them from people who've gone before me. What about Rock 'n' Roll Soldiers and Mad Action? Are they local? Should I scarf down my dinner and make it to the club by 8 to see them?

im quite excited about tonight's show. a friend of mine in scotland wrote to say:
Kasabaian will puton a good show for you.I'd get along to see that if i could!!!.i think he's right about this one! :) besides i never got to see the stone roses, so this could possibly be the closest ill come to that. although i did get to see ian brown who is quite the performer!
Originally posted by vansmack:Are you saying that because I wrote scarf that I must watch the OC? Because I don't know why you would write that otherwise.

If only the writers would bring back Alex and script some girl on girl between her and Summer i'd be in heaven…they could play Interpol's "evil" again and I wouldn't care…*wishfull thinking*..
Is it ok to feel this way about Lost? Because I do.

Originally posted by d79:very quickly Mad Action from Philly and friends of BRMC and I think Rock n' Roll solders are from Seattle old age is settling in. Was impressed with what i briefly hear. Both in the Garage and Heavy Blues school, the RnR Soldiers have a bit more swagger like Johnny thunder / New York Dolls.

IMHO - Mad Action stole the show….
IMHO, Kasabian kicked ass…it was an awesome, energetic show and better than some recent $20.+ line-ups…and yeah, I liked both opening acts, but I was thrilled that Kasabian sounded so good and they LOVED playing "our" venue. I was up front, and you could tell they were really happy…Great night..the last song was just amazing live.

I have seen Mad Action, I think they opened for somebody at the Black Cat, they did something weird with a projector, i dont remember being terribly impressed, but they were not horrible either
I believed one of them has a studio in Philly where BRMC was doing some recording
My DJ setlist will get posted this weekend… I left my notebook at home while in my early morning fog.
Great show from start to finish. Crowd was really really into it. There was more bouncing and fist-pumping than any other show Ive been to @ 930. Granted, I think there was a large contingent of Brits in the house.
Those guys just really put on a great show. Lead singer never stops and he's got a really great rock voice. They played around with a few songs that werent on the album and they were ok, but when they went back to LSF and Club Foot, the crowd just went nuts.
They definitely have an air of greatness about them. Id actually be surprised at this point if they dont really start making some major waves internationally. Great band. Great show. Im excited to see whats in store for these guys…

why did the show start so much earlier than 930.com posted? i got there at 915 when mad action was supposed to be going *on* and they were walking off the stage when i arrived!
I definitely agree with beedubyah's comments about the fantastic audience! Bounciest concert since The Hives last year at least. While I certainly like Kasabian's solid debut album and their catchy, beat-heavy songs, their album did not prepare me at all for one of the best 9:30 Club concerts of the year. I very nearly saw British Sea Power at the Black Cat instead, but I went with Kasabian for the simple reason that I've been listening more to Kasabian than British Sea Power this year. Needless to say, I don't regret my choice at all, though I am annoyed that both bands were scheduled for the same evening. Lead guitarist/songwriter Serge and frontman Tom Meighan performed with an exuberance that the audience fed off and returned many times over. The driving force for the dance milieu, however, was Kasabian's excellent drummer, Ian Matthews, but it was the enthusiastic audience which elevated Kasabian and were in turn elevated by them and made it such a memorable concert experience.
Opening act Rock 'n' Roll Soldiers attacked the audience and took no prisoners! They played fast, straight up, no-gimmicks rock that the audience warmed to almost immediately. They're probably the best opening act on a three-act bill that I've seen in a long time. They were soon followed by Mad Action, who were more reserved but more technically proficient. Both supporting acts were very strong, but I would probably give the edge to Rock 'n' Roll Soldiers. P.S. Nice job, DJing, Kosmo.
