Hahahahahhaha G. Love is the one person in DC who reads the washington times hahahahahahahha
Even though it was a short set i thought she was great, i'd like to see her again by herself and not with that geek Jason Mraz…….She can go ahead and wear that short lil skirt again also. :D

Someone left it on the MARC train, so I read it.

It was part of the packaging material in the box that my blow-up sex doll came in.

It was a free weeks trial subscription.

Our dog stole the neighbors copy.

It came wrapped around the fish I bought at the seafood market.

Okay, okay, okay!!! I admit I do read the Times. so what!!! news is news right? it can't be distorted, can it?

Culty McCult. I guess O'Reilly factored you over to the right huh?
Wow! Even I don't read the Washington Times.
say what you like about the times……

I think the reviewer from the times wrote a better review than was found in the post. Its full of details, such as no encore, that are missing from the posts review. The absence of such details always makes me think the reviewer didnt go to the show or didnt stay till the end.
She was the middle act on a three act bill. Thus, technically she was one of the openers. Openers typically don't get an encore. Perhaps the Post reviewer saw no reason to comment on this, since it was not out of the norm. Perhaps the Times reviewer is not as familiar with rock show protocol and felt the need to comment on something that wasn't even relevant.

I'm gonna agree with both y'all. Openers don't do encores and the Post should just stop doing live rock reviews altogether. The NYTimes should also shut John Paralles (or whatever his name is) up.

The Fruit Bats and High Strung have both played encores as openers in the last couple of weeks.
Who writes decent concert reviews?

Allow me to rephrase:

What professional in a nationally or regionally recognized published journal pens concert reviews that you find to be worthwhile?
Any writer who pisses off more than five people on this board. He/she would thus be doing my job for me.
These "poor" reviews are not the result of lack of knowledge or poor writing.

Writing an objective review of anything is pretty much impossible. The only option would be to report what songs were played, what the artist was wearing, how many were in attendence, etc…

Do any of you think that you could write reviews that would not be consistantly trashed by this board and/or the general public?
other than being in the times, I dont see anything wrong with that review. Sure its negative, but I like its little quotes of what people were saying.
